Augmented Reality

The Visit Ashburton App features cutting edge Augmented Reality technology including the Old Onslow storm simulator, a broader Ashburton visitors guide and the Old Onslow Township explorer.

Using the App, visitors are able to bring the township back to life before their eyes. The historic town map has been georeferenced and allows visitors to walk the streets as if they were using Google Maps from 100 years ago.

Using old photographs and records we have been able bring back to life important places of interest, including the Police Station, the Hospital and General Store. You no longer need to use your imagination to envisage history, you can now walk through, in and around it!

Taking Augmented Reality Adventure Quests to a whole new level: Come with us on a journey like no other! Do battle with Goblins, tame Dragons, drink with Vikings, solve riddles, and help Damsels all on your quest to rescue the tooth fairy!

Coming to Kryal Castle this summer!

Augmented Reality has matured as a technology over the past few years and has now become a key tool for many councils and public attractions to engage and inform their visitors.

Thanks to the rapid advancement of mobile phones, greatly improved 3D design tools and the ongoing development of our location based treasure hunt and gaming engines, we are able to provide world class AR engagements at a fraction of the cost of traditional applications.

This short video showcases some of our clients and how they have been able to use AR to surprise, delight and inform their visitors.

We are always looking for new and exciting ways to deliver interpretation, engage younger users and reveal hidden artefacts, forgotten histories and prehistoric creatures. Talk to us today about how AR can help tell your story. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
