ATDW Integration
Announcing eLockers integration with the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse – ATDW

Specialist Apps is pleased to announce direct integration with our Visitor Engagement Platform Proximity eLockers and the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW).
The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse is a unique tourism content tool that offers a comprehensive, quality-assured digital content database and multi-channel distribution network for tourism marketing and destination information. ATDW supports over 90,000 tourism listings whose content is published by an expanding distributor network.
We can now provide local councils and regions with even more compelling Visitor Engagement App functionality. The ability to quickly search for local businesses, places of interest and local events drawn directly from ATDW, can be combined with other popular App features such as self guided walking tours, heritage trails and treasure hunts.

Councils using ATDW can now make use of the power of the latest smartphone app technology including offline caching of content, wayfinding and navigation with automated show on map and much more.
Searches can be more dynamic and contextual. Users have the ability to constrain search areas to any specified radius from their current location, using a simple dynamic slider.
Richer listings with direct one tap tools to call or email a business.
There is no need for businesses to try and manage listings in multiple locations.

Councils have yet another reason to encourage businesses embrace and maintain their ATDW listings
Local business’s social media feeds such as Instagram and facebook can be included and embedded within their App listing, further enhancing and consolidating their marketing efforts without requiring any additional management overhead on their part.
Councils have been quick to embrace this new integration feature, with new Visitor Engagement Apps currently being rolled out for the Southern Downs and Granite Belt region in Queensland, and Queanbeyan in N.S.W. and more to be announced soon.
“We are excited to be working with Geoff Elwood and the team at Specialist Apps on our Visitor Engagement App, part of the 2019 Queensland Bushfires Community Recovery Package Cat C under the Disaster Recovery funding arrangements. We are cooking up all sorts of treasure hunts and trails which has been a lot of fun.”
Terese Finegan - Tourism Recovery Officer at Southern Downs Regional Council
"Destination marketing is rapidly evolving and it is essential for us to keep pace with modern consumer demand and distribution channels.
The Specialist Apps team are providing us with an exciting opportunity to showcase our region and connect potential and in-market visitors with our tourism operators via an interactive, compelling and engaging platform.
Return on investment is a critical measure for our tourism projects and the potential multiplier effect for bringing more visitors and keeping them in our region longer is an exciting economic opportunity."
